Prospecting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBABBB AADADABA BEBEAFAF BGBGHIJI AAGABIAI

Looking for placer pangarA
Loafing about in the hillsB
Getting your grub with a rifleC
Taking your drink from rillsB
Getting your bed from the spruce treeA
Taking your course by your dreamsB
Just camping alone in the mountainsB
Siwashing along the streamsB
-
Locating the hind sight on NatureA
Traveling alone and farA
Thinking with no one to guide youD
Digesting the things that areA
Back trailing the life that's past youD
Peeping at what's in storeA
Pondering over life's mistakesB
Wondering how many moreA
-
Dreaming alone of childhood daysB
Regretting some things that are pastE
Recalling lost opportunitiesB
And chances too good to lastE
Living your whole life overA
Recalling the daily grindF
Thanking your God that it's overA
Glad that you've left it behindF
-
But still regretting your errorsB
Sad for some things you have doneG
Wishing that you had coppered some playsB
As you count them one by oneG
Now living a life clean decentH
For man never sins aloneI
Getting a grip on your egoJ
Coming at last to your ownI
-
You dream and you hunt all summerA
Till you notice a chill in the airA
Then you think of your warm snug cabinG
And you feel that you'd rather be thereA
Then you head over unblazed passesB
Till at last you herd with your ownI
And though you located no pangarA
You are better for being aloneI
