Somewhere I know there waits for meB
A home that mocks the pomp of EarthC
Eye hath not seen its majestyB
Nor heart conceived its priceless worthC
Talk not of crystal gems or goldD
Or towers that flame in changeless lightE
Imagination weak and coldD
Faints far below the unmeasured heightE
And through its open doors for aye-
As ages after ages glideF
Without a moment's pause or stayG
Flows grandly in the living tideF
Brothers redeemed ones pressing homeH
From every clime from every shoreI
Beneath that fair celestial domeH
Meet to be parted nevermoreI

Somewhere I know there waits for meB
A holy tranquillized reposeJ
Calmer than summer noontides beB
Softer than twilight's tenderest closeK
Peace deeper than the peace that stoleL
O'er the vexed Galilean floodM
When One Almighty to controlL
Breathed o'er it the still peace of GodA
To break that calm no throbbing painN
May ever come no chilling fearsO
No hopes unreached no yearnings vainN
No love light quenched in sorrow's tearsP
But while eternal ages glideF
That hallowed peace without alloyQ
Shall still increase and still abideF
A deepening fount of holiest joyQ

Somewhere I know there wait for meB
Sweet tones that wander back betimesP
Through the charmed gates of MemoryB
Like far off swell of Sabbath chimesP
And fair sweet faces dimly seenR
In the uncertain light of dreamsP
And glances tender and sereneR
As star beams mirrored soft in streamsP
They wait for me who long have missedS
From the lone paths I since have pressedT
The hands I clasped the lips I kissedS
The loves that life's young morning blessedT
Wait long while still through mist and tearsP
I darkly wend my pilgrim wayG
Until for me the dawn appearsP
And night gives place to perfect dayG

Somewhere I know in brighter landsP
ONE waits the Fairest of the FairV
With loving words and gentle handsP
To welcome all who gather thereV
Father I will we heard Him sayG
That those whom thou hast given meB
Be with me where I am that theyG
My glory evermore may seeB
And there without a veil betweenR
The sweetness of His face to hideF
Him whom I've loved yet never seenR
I shall behold well satisfiedF
And viewing Him shall sweetly beB
Transformed into His image brightE
And through a glad EternityB
Walk in His love's unclouded lightE
