Minniebel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD AEAEFDGD HIHICDCD

Where the willow weepethA
By a fountain loneB
Where the ivy creepethA
O'er a mossy stoneB
With pale flowers above herC
In a quiet dellD
Far from those who love herC
Slumbers MinniebelD
-
There thy bed I made theeA
By that fountain sideE
And in anguish laid theeA
Down to rest my brideE
Tenderest and fairestF
Who thy worth may tellD
Flower of beauty rarestG
Saintly MinniebelD
-
Weary years have borrowedH
From my eye its lightI
Time my cheek has furrowedH
And these locks are whiteI
But my heart will everC
Mid its memories dwellD
Fondly thine foreverC
Angel MinniebelD
