Looking Back Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Do the dancing leaves of summerA
To the time of buds look backB
Does the river moan regretfulC
For the brooklet's mountain trackB
Does the ripened sheaf of summerA
Heavy with precious grainD
Ask for its hour of blossomE
And the breath of Spring againF
-
Does the golden goblet brimmingG
With the precious ruby wineH
Look back with weary longingG
To the damp and dusky mineH
Is the sparkling coin that bearethI
A monarch's image fainD
To seek the glowing furnaceJ
Where they purged its dross againF
-
Would the chiselled marble gatherA
Its rubbish back once moreK
And lie down undistinguishedL
In the rough rock as beforeK
Does the costly diamond blazingG
On that crowned and queenly oneM
Look back with sorrowful gazingG
To the coarse unpolished stoneN
-
And shall man the grandly giftedO
Earth's monarch tho' Earth's sonM
Turn back to court the shadowsP
Of existence scarce begunM
Nay with strong arm and helpfulC
To aid the world's great lackB
Press on nor pause a momentQ
Supinely to look backB
