I Shall Be Satisfied Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDDED FGFGDDED HIHIDDED

I shall be satisfied when I awakenA
In thy dear likeness my King and my LordB
When the dark prison of death shall be shakenA
And the freed spirit comes forth at thy wordC
I shall be satisfied Saviour be satisfiedD
Wearing thy likeness and near to thy sideD
Sinless and sorrowless robed in thy righteousnessE
What can I ask for in glory besideD
-
I shall be satisfied loving thee everF
Hearing thy accents and sharing thy joyG
Fearing nor change nor estrangement to severF
Me from my Lord and His blissful employG
Satisfied satisfied evermore satisfiedD
Wearing thy likeness and near to thy sideD
Sinless and sorrowless robed in thy righteousnessE
What can I ask for in glory besideD
-
I shall be satisfied when I behold theeH
I shall be like thee my Saviour and KingI
And in the radiance that will enfold theeH
I shall enfolded be too while I singI
Lo I am satisfied Saviour am satisfiedD
Wearing thy likeness and near thy sideD
Sinless and sorrowless robed in thy righteousnessE
What can I ask for in glory besideD
