Written for the Alumni of Albion College Michigan and sung at their last re union JuneA
-
-
The gliding years have rolled alongB
And once again we comeC
With greeting hand and choral songB
To our old college homeD
Sweet college home dear college homeD
We gladly gather hereE
Old friends to greetF
Old faces meetF
And sing our songs of cheerG
-
A welcome true for those we meetF
For those we miss a sighH
Of some we ne'er again may greetF
We speak with tearful eyeH
Some rest with God whose feet once trodI
These halls with ours of yoreJ
And some there areK
Who wander farK
On many a distant shoreJ
-
God bless and keep the ones who roamD
And us who meet againL
And lit us each for that bright homeD
Where comes no parting painM
Oh aid us still thro' good or illN
Still earnest for the rightO
With spirits trueP
To dare and doP
With Heaven and thee in sightO
-
And as the lingering years go byH
And changeful seasons comeC
Still let thine eye rest lovinglyQ
On this old college homeD
Sweet college home dear college homeD
We gladly gather hereE
Old friends to meetF
Old faces greetF
And sing our songs of cheerG
