God's Blessings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCDEFE DGHGIJKJ LKLKMNNN NIKIOIOI

For thou Lord wilt bless the righteous with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shieldA
-
-
Like the dew drops that fallB
Through the chill midnight hoursC
Unheeded by allB
On the close folded flowersC
E'en so on thy chosenD
Grief stricken that bendE
Thy tenderest blessingsF
In silence descendE
-
Like the showers that moistenD
The tree's shrivelled rootG
And quicken its branchesH
To flower and fruitG
E'en thus on thy peopleI
Descend from aboveJ
In richest abundanceK
The showers of thy loveJ
-
Like the glad light that neverL
Our sad Earth forsakesK
But as day fadeth everL
In the star beam awakesK
So certain and constantM
So rich and unspentN
Thy blessings unstintedN
From Heaven are sentN
-
Like the waters that fail notN
Their course to fulfilI
Like the wind's tireless pinionsK
That never are stillI
Like the day in its risingO
The night in its fallI
Thus constant thy blessingO
Great Father of allI
