We William Kaiser planted on Our throneA
By heaven's grace but chiefly by Our ownA
Do deign to speak Then let the earth be dumbB
And other nations cease their senseless humB
Seldom if ever does a chance ariseC
For Us to pose before Our people's eyesC
But this is one of them this natal dayD
Whereon Our Ancient and Imperial swayD
Which to the battle's death defying trumpE
Welded the States in one confounded lumpE
As many tasty meats are blent withinF
The German sausage's encircling skinF
By Our decree is twenty five preciselyG
And under Us and God still doing nicelyG
Therefore ye Princelings PlenipotentatesC
And Representatives of various StatesC
A cool Imperial pint your Kaiser drainsC
Both to Our 'more immediate' domainsC
And to Our lands Our isles beyond the seaC
Our World embracing Greater GermanyC
Let loose the breathings of Our Royal BandH
We give a rouse hoch hoch to HELGOLANDH
-
Kaiserliche Kapelle plays O Helgoland mein Helgoland Air Die Wacht am RheinI
-
WILLIAM KAISER continuesC
-
There are that languish on this festal dayH
Damned and impounded for lese majesteH
We William in Our plentitude of graceC
Propose to pardon every hundredth caseC
And though their sentence was no more than justH
We offer each a copy of Our bustH
With option of a fine but be it knownA
Whoso again shall deem his life his ownA
Or find in Ours the faintest flaw or fleckJ
God helping We will hang him by the neckJ
Yea he shall surely curse his impious starK
That dares to question Who or where We areK
Worship your Caesar and C V your GodH
Who spares the child may haply spoil the rodH
Many Our uniforms but We are oneL
And one Our empire over which the sunL
Careering on his cloud compulsive wayH
Sets once but never more than once a dayH
The seas are Ours world wide upon the oceansC
Our fleet commands the liveliest emotionsC
Go where you will you find Our German mannersC
Prevailing under other people's bannersC
Go where you will you cannot but remarkM
The cheap but never nasty German clerkN
Observe Our exports do you ever seeC
Things made as they are made in GermanyC
Always at home on Earth's remotest shoresC
E g among Our loved low German BoersC
Freely Our folk expectorate and thereO
Our German bands inflame the balmy airO
Likewise again Our passionate bassoonsC
Tickle the niggers of the CameroonsC
Or others over whom Our Eagle flapsC
In places not at present on the mapsC
One more Imperial pint your Kaiser drinksC
To German intercourse with missing linksC
Let loose the breathings of Our Royal BandH
We give hoch hoch Our glorious HINTERLANDH
-
Kaiserliche Kapelle plays O Hinterland mein Hinterland Air as before during which WILLIAM KAISER resumes his throneA
