Vita Nuova Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCDDECFGCFG

I stood by the unvintageable seaA
Till the wet waves drenched face and hair with sprayB
The long red fires of the dying dayB
Burned in the west the wind piped drearilyC
And to the land the clamorous gulls did fleeC
'Alas ' I cried 'my life is full of painD
And who can garner fruit or golden grainD
From these waste fields which travail ceaselessly 'E
My nets gaped wide with many a break and flawC
Nathless I threw them as my final castF
Into the sea and waited for the endG
When lo a sudden glory and I sawC
From the black waters of my tortured pastF
The argent splendour of white limbs ascendG
