Poem: The New Remorse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDEDEC

The sin was mine I did not understandA
So now is music prisoned in her caveB
Save where some ebbing desultory waveB
Frets with its restless whirls this meagre strandA
And in the withered hollow of this landA
Hath Summer dug herself so deep a graveB
That hardly can the leaden willow craveB
One silver blossom from keen Winter's handA
-
But who is this who cometh by the shoreC
Nay love look up and wonder Who is thisD
Who cometh in dyed garments from the SouthE
It is thy new found Lord and he shall kissD
The yet unravished roses of thy mouthE
And I shall weep and worship as beforeC
