Les Silhouettes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFFE

The sea is flecked with bars of greyA
The dull dead wind is out of tuneB
And like a withered leaf the moonB
Is blown across the stormy bayA
-
Etched clear upon the pallid sandC
Lies the black boat a sailor boyD
Clambers aboard in careless joyD
With laughing face and gleaming handC
-
And overhead the curlews cryE
Where through the dusky upland grassF
The young brown throated reapers passF
Like silhouettes against the skyE
