Helas! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABAACDCCED

To drift with every passion till my soulA
Is a stringed lute on which can winds can playB
Is it for this that I have given awayB
Mine ancient wisdom and austere controlA
Methinks my life is a twice written scrollA
Scrawled over on some boyish holidayB
With idle songs for pipe and virelayA
Which do but mar the secret of the wholeA
Surely there was a time I might have trodC
The sunlit heights and from life's dissonanceD
Struck one clear chord to reach the ears of GodC
Is that time dead lo with a little rodC
I did but touch the honey of romanceE
And must I lose a soul's inheritanceD
