A Vision Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEDCE

Two crowned Kings and One that stood aloneA
With no green weight of laurels round his headB
But with sad eyes as one uncomfortedB
And wearied with man's never ceasing moanA
For sins no bleating victim can atoneA
And sweet long lips with tears and kisses fedB
Girt was he in a garment black and redB
And at his feet I marked a broken stoneA
Which sent up lilies dove like to his kneesC
Now at their sight my heart being lit with flameD
I cried to Beatrice 'Who are these 'E
And she made answer knowing well each nameD
'AEschylos first the second SophoklesC
And last wide stream of tears Euripides 'E
