Little Things Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDAAEEFFGG

There's nothing very beautiful and nothing very gayA
About the rush of faces in the town by dayA
But a light tan cow in a pale green meadB
That is very beautiful beautiful indeedB
And the soft March wind and the low March mistC
Are better than kisses in a dark street kissedC
The fragrance of the forest when it wakes at dawnD
The fragrance of a trim green village lawnD
The hearing of the murmur of the rain at playA
These things are beautiful beautiful as dayA
And I shan't stand waiting for love or scornE
When the feast is laid for a day new bornE
Oh better let the little things I loved when littleF
Return when the heart finds the great things brittleF
And better is a temple made of bark and thongG
Than a tall stone temple that may stand too longG
