| trying hard to know where am standing | D |
| my eyes getting tired of staring | D |

| but the door was tied with a strong rope | G |
| so I checked what I've got | H |
| oh I've gotten a knife | I |

| but the knife won't cut the rope | G |
| it was a blunt knife | I |
