I Am You Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAACDDEEFFGHIIFJJKL KM

I bring you joy I bring you sadnessA
I come from peace yet established on the lanes of violenceB
I give hope through a birth of hopelessnessA
I shine light to the world as I cast away the shadow of darknessA
yet it seems you get confusedC
and say I am not to be trustedD
that I'm cunning and power I've lustedD
to be the one and only to ever surviveE
you accuse me both to death and been aliveE
it's an abomination you say born out of desperationF
who snuffs flower souls from their beds with no consultationF
I've been called a lot of names more than I could rememberG
Judas death some even call me the messiahH
but the truth is I've been here way before you all cameI
existing in the cosmos looking not for glory or fameI
yet you all decided to call on me genuinely as been humanF
and here I have been answering your callsJ
then you say I deceived the first woman who was a male with no ballsJ
open like a book you claim u could read meK
sometimes stormy at times dangerously calmL
not wanting to admit that you never really knew meK
now dare I ask do you really know who I amM

Poet's note: This poem is rich with paradox, mystery and existential weight, it explores the complex duality of existence, embodying both joy and sadness, peace and violence. It challenges the reader to confront their preconceptions, revealing a deep connection between the self and the broader human experience. Ultimately, this poem invites introspection, questioning whether we truly understand the essence of our own identity and the forces that shape our lives.
