| But life itself is but a while | E |
| In it contains things for a while | E |
| And man longeth for riches of it | F |
| Only to labour in vain for life's gift | G |

| More of a requisite than of fact | H |
| Only two things keep life itself moving | I |
| The change which is constant | J |
| And the future which is unpredictable | K |

| But death will always makes its sting | I |
| To its rhythm comes dancable strings | C |
| Only to the sane a poisoned gesture | D |
| But to the labourers of wealth a delicacy | C |

| A time death swallows all in rage | L |
| But a quick death is nothing | I |
