Oh I do think it the pleasantest thing | A |
Ever a Kitten can do | B |

Just like a bird on the wing | A |
And all of a tremble I crouch on the mat | C |
Like a Lion preparing to spring | A |

And now with a terrible deafening mew | B |
Like a Tiger I leap on my prey | D |
And just when I think I have torn it in two | B |
It is up in the air and away | D |
