Oh, Editor, Editor, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEAECFGFHIGIJKLK MIGI

Oh Editor EditorA
Awful and grandB
Who holdest our fateC
In the palm of thy handB
Dost ever reflectD
How one day thy ghostE
To an Editor awf'lerA
And grander will postE
Before him a greatC
Golden scroll is spread wideF
And a bottomless waste basketG
Yawns at his sideF
With a swift searching glanceH
He reads through thy soulI
Then he looks at the basketG
Then looks at the scrollI
He purses his lipsJ
And nibbles his penK
And frowns for one longL
Awful moment and thenK
Oh Editor think if thyM
Poor crumpled soulI
Fall into the basketG
And not in the scrollI
