Light By Light Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGH GIE JKLM

Tales from moonlightA
How hope showered and shimmeredB
Upon dying knightsC
Today the sun has risenD
Fringed blue flowers burgeon againE
-
But should we become avid drinkersF
Drinking ourselves to stuporG
Making merry over medals won miles backH
-
I suppose we should not assuage our hunger for yonderG
By unbuckling our belts till the next loom boomsI
Stripping us of strength againE
-
So let all the heroes that wear local laurels not enter the cave of complacencyJ
Let them look on to the Nobel prizeK
Slated for them before the walls of todayL
Let them take lessons from NovaM
