| But what does pain ever help you gain | A |
| I'm here hurting | B |
| Tears just bursting out of my eyes | C |
| My mind swirling with a lot of thoughts and I know it isn't very wise | C |
| My heart aches for love that is forbidden | D |
| I'm fighting my way through the restriction and chains that are holding me back | E |
| Love is a miracle it doesn't happen by choice | F |
| So if you want to keep it you have to raise your voice | F |
| Against the restrictions against the crowd's noise | G |
| Fighting my way out it's taking a lot of courage | H |
| Yes I break down but I stand back up | I |
| Reminding myself that this is my life MINE | J |
