The Conquistador Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB ADEA FGH IIJ

Conquistador set in the iron armorA
I gaily follow the outgoing starB
I go over precipices harborsC
And rest in joyful groves so farB
-
Oh how wild and starless heaven's shelterA
The haze is growing but silent I must waitD
Conquistador in iron armor setE
I'll find my love find it sooner or laterA
-
And if the stars are void of midday wordsF
I shall myself create them for the worldsG
And warmly charm them by the songs of battlesH
-
I am a brother to the gulfs and stormsI
But I will plait into my uniformsI
A lily the blue star of flourishing valleysJ
