Porcelain Pavilion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFFG FFFF HIJK

Amidst the waters of a man made lakeA
A porcelain pavilion rises highB
The way to it is lead by jasper bridgeC
That s cambered like a tiger s backD
-
And that pavilion houses friends tonightE
They are attired for the holidaysF
The dragon patterns on their chalicesF
They glitter with the warmed up wineG
-
Friends turn from chatting their happy chatsF
To jotting down their happy songsF
They push off foreheads their yellow hatsF
And roll up their yellow sleevesF
-
Transparent lake reflects so clearlyH
The bridge curved in as if the jasper moonI
And friends who gathered at this hourJ
See their reflections upside downK
