My First Memory ( Of Librarians ) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCADEFGHIJKLMNO

This is my first memoryA
A big room with heavy wooden tables that sat on a creakyA
wood floorB
A line of green shades bankers' lights down the centerC
Heavy oak chairs that were too low or maybe I was simplyA
too shortD
For me to sit in and readE
So my first book was always bigF
In the foyer up four steps a semi circle desk presidedG
To the left side the card catalogueH
On the right newspapers draped over what looked likeI
a quilt rackJ
Magazines face out from the wallK
The welcoming smile of my librarianL
The anticipation in my heartM
All those books another world just waitingN
At my fingertipsO
