Confession To The Red Rose Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDD EFGFHH IJIJKK ILILII MNMOJJ

Though People think you are so softA
But I know in your veins is bloodB
Who want to touch you in the croftC
Whose heart drowns in passions' floodB
And your attraction makes them bleedD
To hear it seems so cruel indeedD
-
O rose your thorns always hurt thoseE
Who want to pluck your soft flowersF
You hurt when the danger is closeG
You leave when one quits your bowersF
And in that way you save yourselfH
And so keep smiling like an elfH
-
But I'm a man I have no thornsI
I have my hands to do my wishJ
In pleasant form I am like dornsI
And to catch birds I can say pishJ
But I'm dangerous than you I thinkK
I can hurt someone in a blinkK
-
I have a tongue to say such wordsI
Which can break someone's heart to coreL
I soaked in blood thousands of swordsI
All is for me is not that soreL
Any rose ne'er plucked a roseI
Who cuts own heads I am in thoseI
-
I am not fragrant that makes meM
Think I'm not perfect I should haveN
Everything of need that can beM
So I can spend my life in raveO
You are so soft but have no wishJ
And I need you I'm in anguishJ
