| Who want to touch you in the croft | C |
| Whose heart drowns in passions' flood | B |
| And your attraction makes them bleed | D |
| To hear it seems so cruel indeed | D |

| O rose your thorns always hurt those | E |
| Who want to pluck your soft flowers | F |
| You hurt when the danger is close | G |
| You leave when one quits your bowers | F |
| And in that way you save yourself | H |
| And so keep smiling like an elf | H |

| But I'm a man I have no thorns | I |
| I have my hands to do my wish | J |
| In pleasant form I am like dorns | I |
| And to catch birds I can say pish | J |
| But I'm dangerous than you I think | K |
| I can hurt someone in a blink | K |

| Which can break someone's heart to core | L |
| I soaked in blood thousands of swords | I |
| All is for me is not that sore | L |
| Any rose ne'er plucked a rose | I |
| Who cuts own heads I am in those | I |

| I am not fragrant that makes me | M |
| Think I'm not perfect I should have | N |
| Everything of need that can be | M |
| So I can spend my life in rave | O |
| You are so soft but have no wish | J |
