Sonnet. Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABABCCDADACC

The frozen ground looks gray 'Twill shut the snowA
Out from its bosom and the flakes will fallB
Softly and lie upon it The hushed flowA
Of the ice covered waters and the callB
Of the cold driver to his oxen slowA
And the complaining of the gust are allB
That I can hear of music would that IC
With the green summer like a leaf might dieC
So will a man grow gray and on his headD
The snow of years lie visibly and soA
Will come a frost when his green years have fledD
And his chilled pulses sluggishly will flowA
And his deep voice be shaken would that IC
In the green summer of my youth might dieC
