May Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIIJIKI LMIMNIMI MMOMPQIQ

Oh the merry May has pleasant hoursA
And dreamily they glideB
As if they floated like the leavesC
Upon a silver tideB
The trees are full of crimson budsD
And the woods are full of birdsE
And the waters flow to musicF
Like a tune with pleasant wordsE
-
The verdure of the meadow landG
Is creeping to the hillsH
The sweet blue bosom'd violetsI
Are blowing by the rillsI
The lilac has a load of balmJ
For every wind that stirsI
And the larch stands green and beautifulK
Amid the sombre firsI
-
There's perfume upon every windL
Music in every treeM
Dews for the moisture loving flowersI
Sweets for the sucking beeM
The sick come forth for the healing SouthN
The young are gathering flowersI
And life is a tale of poetryM
That is told by golden hoursI
-
If 'tis not a true philosophyM
That the spirit when set freeM
Still lingers about its olden homeO
In the flower and the treeM
It is very strange that our pulses thrillP
At the tint of a voiceless thingQ
And our hearts yearn so with tendernessI
In the beautiful time of SpringQ
