| Yet it is so silent | B |
| For the world is suffering | C |
| from a plague so violent | B |

| A few days before sitting for breakfast I stared at the screen | D |
| Only to see people even little ones scream | E |
| Burning was our capital region | F |
| And the reason was just religion | F |
| People killing people | G |
| without even having a reason so ample | G |
| Petrol pumps shops vehicles | H |
| Burned were all quite merciless | I |
| Everything appeared so meaningless | I |

| And that was when the plague hit us | I |
| Freezing travel in a train or bus | I |
| Crowded were the hospitals | H |
| where everyone said hush | J |
| Isolated the affected were | K |
| No one dared to utter religion there | L |
| - | |
| In a single ward everyone stayed | M |
| No attention to caste they payed | M |
| No one bothered about the religion of the doctor | K |
| Or the nurse who helped their son and daughter | K |
| Shared the room and shared the mess | N |
| Above all there was a feeling of oneness | I |
| Without even knowing each other | K |
| Praying for the well being of people in one way or the other | K |

| When the whole human kind | M |
| Stood together with all their mind | M |
| Strongly to face this hard rind | M |
| The epidemic hit us hard | M |
| And it is really bad | M |
| But didn't a feeling of togetherness flourish | O |
| Didn't our differences all of a sudden perish | O |
| Wasn't it humanity that we all were destined to nourish | O |
