O Bethlehem! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC DEDE FGFG HIJI KAKA

For he is our peaceA
-
-
O Bethlehem where Christ was bornB
And angels watched him where he layC
When cradled on that holy mornB
That ushered in earth's promised dayC
-
O Bethlehem it was thy starD
Which guided o'er the deserts wildE
Those who had journeyed from afarD
To gaze upon the sinless childE
-
O Bethlehem 'twas thine to seeF
God's choir announce the Saviour's birthG
And hear those waves of melodyF
Chant peace and good will to the earthG
-
O Bethlehem 'twas thine to weepH
With Rachel o'er the crimson woeI
When cruel hands did vainly seekJ
To quench heaven's radiance belowI
-
O Bethlehem we hear thy callK
To joy and bliss and would not ceaseA
To praise him who has died for allK
Who will accept his blood bought peaceA
