Black Bottom Biafra Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CD EF G HIJK I LMNOPAQ R ST H UV

A child is born in the heart of BiafraA
in the midst of a war torn hungry and poor worldB
-
A difficult existence and a heartless fateC
even just getting through the gruel every day is a struggleD
-
Their frail little frameE
without anything to eat and nowhere to sleepF
-
Once brilliant eyes that are now dull and depressingG
-
They cry as they experience the anguishH
Their innocence was taken awayI
their youth was snatchedJ
forced to continue and to mature too quicklyK
-
There is no time to fantasize or playI
-
In such a harsh environment it's just endless toilL
They are responsible for the failure of the systemM
Where venomous corruption and greed have taken holdN
They live in a world that ignores their predicamentO
and abandons them to endure their suffering in the pitch black nightP
The suffering kid of BiafraA
Their anguish was in vain and their pleas went unnoticedQ
-
A fact that cannot be deniedR
-
Their suffering is genuine and the future is uncertainS
Therefore let's remember the Biafran childT
-
Because of their genuine struggle and excruciating anguishH
-
May we cooperate to provide them with reliefU
Additionally give them a chance to live a life based on faithV
