To whom my words will concernA
This is now history to thy earsB
years after centuriesC
The yearD
It appeared the invisible enemyE
-
In our ears it sounded impossibleF
At times we quarrel endlesslyE
Some in defense of its existenceG
And the odds in supportingH
Days folded symmetricallyE
Yet our eyes covered by the blanketI
The very dark one of confusionJ
-
A week and days passedK
But like in a blinkL
Stories of massacre spread all overM
Horrendous tales of thousandsN
Victims departing from the world of livingH
-
Negligence And carelessnessO
Blind folded the eyes of manyE
As they kept their old waysP
Those of wandering And exploringH
The predator hide deep in their soulsQ
As they travel around the globeR
Hospitality and wellbeingH
They were welcomed wherever they goS
-
Unknowingly with kisses of happinessO
And hugs of friendshipsT
Handshakes of humanityE
The invisible demon kept on spreading all overM
With heart filled with JoyU
Human kind were exposed unknowinglyE
-
The whole world were exposedV
Captured under the darknessO
Unbroken chains held everyone prisonersW
From the royal clanX
To the lowestY
From the wiseZ
Down to the foolishA2
We were all paralyzedB2
-
The educated fought a bitter warC2
Days of no restD2
And nights without slumberM
They tried to eradicate the enemyE
But all to no availE2
As the universe crashed downF2
They decided to call it the Great invisibleF
The CovidD2
-
For the first time in my eyesZ
Beholding the Wiseman bowing their heads downF2
The Great presidentsG2
The members of the cabinetsH2
The church leadersW
The richest and poorestD2
The head of our communities AndD2
The people at largeI2
-
We all surrenderedD2
All our positive Hopes wiped awayJ2
There were no more happinessO
No public gatheringH
No hugging and kissingH
We called it social distancingH
For we never knew who were possessed by the demonic enemyE
We called it Corona virusO
-
There were no more friendshipK2
Neither brotherhoodD2
Nor sisterhoodD2
Humanity lost its valueL2
Everyone behind the locked doorsM2
That seemed to be the only solutionJ
Yet tears of hunger and poverty flooding the streetsN2
-
As I am writing thisO2
It emerges the word quarantineP2
A perfect substitute for imprisonmentD2
I only got little courageQ2
The little ego about the futureM
And to you that is the presentD2
Am locked in my own chosen cellR2
-
My only hope is nothing moreC2
But only a dropS2
If possible by the last chanceT2
Let the new worldD2
The one that is to comeU2
Remember my wordsV2
And honour our existenceG
In the present that is now historyE
