Death Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CDEF GHFI II

Death stood by the road sideA
and swung his hand to get a rideA
Many stopped by but was never favoredB
And some came but he never enteredB
-
When the road sirened my comingC
he rushed and placed a checkpoint at the middleD
my body became the car he rushed to enter at lastE
And eyes his whistle for a clearer sightF
-
He then control the steering of my bodyG
Straight to his packing log the graveH
Like an owl waiting for the nightF
am here wishing for the sound of the trumpetI
