The Blood Of Christ Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCCBCDACDA

Mentre m' attristaA
-
-
Mid weariness and woe I find some cheerB
In thinking of the past when I recallC
My weakness and my sins and reckon allC
The vain expense of days that disappearB
This cheers by making ere I die more clearB
The frailty of what men delight miscallC
But saddens me to think how rarely fallC
God's grace and mercies in life's latest yearB
For though Thy promises our faith compelC
Yet Lord what man shall venture to maintainD
That pity will condone our long neglectA
Still from Thy blood poured forth we know full wellC
How without measure was Thy martyr's painD
How measureless the gifts we dare expectA
