Sacred Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCDBAEFAEF

Ogni van chiusoA
-
-
All hollow vaults and dungeons sealed from sightB
All caverns circumscribed with roof and wallC
Defend dark Night though noon around her fallC
From the fierce play of solar day beams brightB
But if she be assailed by fire or lightB
Her powers divine are nought they tremble allC
Before things far more vile and trivialD
Even a glow worm can confound their mightB
The earth that lies bare to the sun and breedsA
A thousand germs that burgeon and decayE
This earth is wounded by the ploughman's shareF
But only darkness serves for human seedsA
Night therefore is more sacred far than dayE
Since man excels all fruits however fairF
