Love Lifts To God Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BAABBAABCACADD

Veggio nel tuo bel visoA
-
-
From thy fair face I learn O my loved lordB
That which no mortal tongue can rightly sayA
The soul imprisoned in her house of clayA
Holpen by thee to God hath often soaredB
And though the vulgar vain malignant hordeB
Attribute what their grosser wills obeyA
Yet shall this fervent homage that I payA
This love this faith pure joys for us affordB
Lo all the lovely things we find on earthC
Resemble for the soul that rightly seesA
That source of bliss divine which gave us birthC
Nor have we first fruits or remembrancesA
Of heaven elsewhere Thus loving loyallyD
I rise to God and make death sweet by theeD
