After The Death Of Vittoria Colonna. Irreparable Loss Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBCBDCEFGFGE

Se 'l mie rozzo martelloA
-
-
When my rude hammer to the stubborn stoneB
Gives human shape now that now this at willC
Following his hand who wields and guides it stillC
It moves upon another's feet aloneB
But that which dwells in heaven the world doth fillC
With beauty by pure motions of its ownB
And since tools fashion tools which else were noneD
Its life makes all that lives with living skillC
Now for that every stroke excels the moreE
The higher at the forge it doth ascendF
Her soul that fashioned mine hath sought the skiesG
Wherefore unfinished I must meet my endF
If God the great artificer deniesG
That aid which was unique on earth beforeE
