Rhyme Scheme: ABCA DEF GH IJKFL MNOPQ RBSTF UVWX N PLWYZ

Moonlight beam upon my cold pale browA
Nothing is sacred My heart is flyingB
away with the ships to reach new destinationsC
The time is nowA
-
The launch has occurred The work ofD
many decades is now complete PlanetsE
are explored like our land centuries beforeF
-
Flags in the still wind cry out toG
be recognized Will they be burned or unfurledH
-
Laws in space are written in bloodI
Neglected or carried out depends upon theJ
ruler Sane or contorted Will this landK
be preserved for families with a purpose orF
will it be wasted on research and experimentationL
-
Science will be victorious asM
always just like in the past We willN
feed our metal monsters information whileO
the people protest their forced faith andP
fastQ
-
Mixed emotions ideas beliefs settledR
and disputed by wars Of course KnowingB
only one way to end a conflict has beenS
our downfall throughout history and it'sT
becoming quite a boreF
-
The higher powers are amused to see thisU
happen time and time again I guess ourV
past mistakes haven't been a veryW
good teacher after allX
-
Time once again stands stillN
-
Will we try again Naturally Wasting time andP
lives waiting for the actual end is very commonL
among our kind It's what makes us what weW
are hunters coming across our ownY
corpseZ
