Dear sweet child, what is it like to
truly be in love? I'm sorry for asking
but I've never loved or been loved by
anyone as far as I know.
Oh, I see couples having romantic dinners
or walking hand in hand along the sandy
beach, watching the Sun set beneath the
ocean till the day is dead and stars
glitter in the sky giving birth to the
night, but no; I just can't imagine what
this luxury must feel like.
The only truth I know are my tears
when I see two people deeply in love,
laughing at my misfortune as I stand alone,
with only the silence of sadness as my companion.
They say without love, you cannot exist.
Does this mean I'm dead? If it does, I
have surely gone to Hell to pay for something
sinful that I have done!
Even so, I don't quite agree with the
punishment that has been dealt to me.
Can't you see? If I've been physically
AND spiritually dead, I've never known
what it's like to truly live!
My pain and suffering have been for
nothing and my heart has been merely an
organ to keep me alive unwillingly!
