For W M LettsA
-
-
The roads look up to Holy CrossB
The sturdy towers look downC
And show a kindly word to allD
Who pass by Worcester TownC
And once you'd see the boys at playE
Or marching cap and gownC
-
The gallant towers at Holy CrossB
Are silent night and dayE
A few young lads are left behindF
Who still may take their playE
The Cross and Flag look out afarG
For them that went awayE
-
And mine are gone says Beaven HallD
To camps by hill and plainH
And mine along by Newport SeaI
Says the high tower of O'KaneH
I follow mine Alumni callsJ
Across the watery mainH
-
Their sires were in the old BrigadeK
That won at FontenoyH
Stood true at Washington's right handL
that were his faith and joyM
From Holy Cross to FredericksburgN
Is many a gallant boyM
-
Then God be with you says the CrossB
And the brave towers looking downH
I'll be your cloth sings out the FlagO
For other cap and gownH
And may we see you safe againH
On the hills of Worcester TownH
