The Sailor Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH HHHHIJIJ

A sailor that rides the ocean waveA
And I in my room at homeB
Where are the seas I fear to braveA
Or the lands I may not roamB
At the attic window I take my standC
And tighten the curtain sailD
Then ahoy I ride the leagues of landC
Whether in calm or galeD
-
Tree at anchor along the roadE
Bow as I speed alongF
At sunny brooks in the valley I loadE
Cargoes of blossom and songF
Stories I take on the passing windG
From the plains and forest seasH
And the Golden Fleece I yet will findG
And the fruit of HesperidesH
-
Steady I keep my watchful eyesH
As I range the thousand milesH
Till evening tides in western skiesH
Turn gold the cloudland islesH
Then fast is the hatch and dark the screenI
And I bring my cabin lightJ
With a wink I change to a submarineI
And drop in the sea of NightJ
