The Fountain Of Youth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCCB DEDEED FGFGGF CHCHHC

For Osceola and PocahontasA
-
-
Was it a hundred years agoB
Or was it but yesterdayC
When we found the roads that growB
Blossom and song of MayC
Maybe it was but yesterdayC
Or a hundred years agoB
-
The roads from Bersabee to DanD
Are old and quickly tireE
But to the heart of child or manD
Youth is a fairy fireE
Our youthful roads they never tireE
From Bersabee to DanD
-
Ponce de Leon found no springF
But legend's long long ruthG
But the grace of God is a magic thingF
Abides with chivalrous youthG
The grace of God that brings no ruthG
For them who find the springF
-
There is a land there is a MayC
Beyond the graveyard treeH
Ten thousand years are like a dayC
Of a youth that we shall seeH
Our young hearts pass the graveyard treeH
To a land forever in MayC
