IRELANDA
-
-
When shall we find the spring come inB
And the fragrant air it blowsC
And when shall the bounty of summer winB
Fairer than fields of CamolinB
For the dark little RoseC
-
Long was the winter the storms how longD
What flower may live i' the snowsC
No bloom shall last under heels of wrongD
If the heart blood be not deathless strongD
As the dark little RoseC
-
Sing hers the culture sweeter than rainB
That healed old Europe's woesC
Older than bowers of Lille and LouvainB
Grew by the Rhine and the towns of SpainB
From the dark little RoseC
-
Leagues in the sunlight never shall failE
While the broad round ocean flowsC
Though never a fleet goes up KinsaleE
See all the world is within the paleE
Of the dark little RoseC
