On A Train Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD

But a fortnight later by an autumn treeA
Aileen and her brother came my wayB
And another glad to tell the names of them and meA
And to hear how travellers can playB
-
Life is but a journey say we evermoreC
Passing lights the years have like a trainD
Three good friends will travel up to heaven's doorC
With the world a merry window paneD
