The Winds' Possession Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGG

When winds blow high and leaves begin to fallA
And the wan sunlight flits before the blastB
When fields are brown and crops are garnered allA
And rooks like mastered ships drift wide and fastB
Maid Artemis that feeleth her young bloodC
Leap like a freshet river for the seaD
Speedeth abroad with hair blown in a floodC
To snuff the salt west wind and wanton freeD
-
Then would you know how brave she is how highE
Her ancestry how kindred to the windF
Mark but her flashing feet her ravisht eyeE
That takes the boist'rous weather and feels it kindF
And hear her eager voice how tuned it isG
To Autumn's clarion shrill for ArtemisG
