Rhyme Scheme: ABABC CDCDE EFEFE EGEGE

The blue night falleth the moonA
Is over the hill make fastB
Fasten the latch I am tired come soonA
Come I would sleep at lastB
In your bosom my love my loveC
-
The airy chamber aboveC
Has the lattice ajar that nightD
May breathe upon you and me my loveC
And the moon bless our marriage riteD
Come lassy to bed to bedE
-
The roof thatch overheadE
Shall cover the stars' bright eyesF
The fleecy quilt shall be coverlidE
For your meek virginitiesF
And your wedding my bride my brideE
-
See we are side to sideE
Virgin in deed and nameG
Come for love will not be deniedE
Tarry not have no shameG
Are we not man and brideE
