In The Land Of Dreams Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD BEBE AFAF

A bridle path in the tangled malleeA
With blossoms unnamed and unknown bespreadB
And two who ride through its leafy alleyA
But never the sound of a horse's treadB
-
And one by one whilst the foremost riderC
Puts back the boughs which have grown apaceD
And side by side where the track is widerC
Together they come to the olden placeD
-
To the leaf dyed pool whence the mallards flatteredB
Or ever the horses had paused to drinkE
Where the word was said and the vow was utteredB
That brighten for ever its weedy brinkE
-
And Memory closes her sad recitalA
In Fate's cold eyes there are kindly gleamsF
While for one brief moment of blest requitalA
The parted have met in the Land of DreamsF
