To My Sister. On Her Birthday Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJCKC HLMLJNON PQRQGESE

'T is said that each succeeding yearA
Another circlet weavesB
Within each living waving treeC
Yet not in buds or leavesB
But far within the silent coreD
The tiny shuttles plyE
At Nature's ever working loomF
Unseen by human eyeE
-
And thus within my heart of heartsG
Doth this returning dayH
Another golden zone completeI
Another circle layH
And when unto the shadowy pastJ
In retrospect I fleeC
I numerate the fleeting yearsK
By deepening love for theeC
-
Since last we met this sunny dayH
How bright the hours have flownL
Youth Love and Hope with fadeless lightM
Around our way have shoneL
And if a shadow from the pastJ
Has floated o'er the dreamN
'T was softened like a violet cloudO
Reflected in a streamN
-
Yet if an hour of bitter griefP
Should e'er thy spirit claimQ
May it the trying ordeal passR
As gold the fiery flameQ
And may the years that bind our heartsG
In love that cannot dieE
Still draw us hourly nearer GodS
And nearer to the skyE
