We Go No More To The Forest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCB ABDDB ABEEB ABFFB

WE go no more to the forestA
The rimus are all cut downB
They are built into roof and sill and wallC
Into floors that thrill to the last foot fallC
In the dancing of the townB
-
We go no more to the forestA
The kauris are all cut downB
They are built into ships so stout and strongD
Bearing their cargoes safe alongD
Sailing from town to townB
-
We go no more to the forestA
The ratas are all cut downB
There are cornfields golden and green and wideE
For the tangled depths where a world might hideE
And our lawns lie smooth in townB
-
We go no more to the forestA
Young wild things are all cut downB
We are buying and selling and making loveF
As the grown folk do with a roof aboveF
And our hearts are at home in townB
