The Sea Witch Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCAB DEFFDE GHIIGG

ENDLESSLY fell her chestnut flowersA
Faint snow throughout the honeyed darkB
The myrtle spread his boughs to drinkC
Deep draughts of salt from the sea's brinkC
And like a moon dial swung her tower'sA
Straight shadow o'er her warded parkB
-
From her calm coasts the galleons fledD
The fisher steered him further westE
No port was hailed no keel came homeF
Across that pale enchanted foamF
But by her roof the thrushes fedD
And wandering swallows found their restE
-
The shadows touched her tenderlyG
The red beam lingered on her dressH
The white gull and the osprey knewI
Her tower across the leagues of blueI
The wild swan when he sought the seaG
Was laggard through her lovelinessG
