Sheep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

LIKE the slow thunder of long seas on the heightA
Where God has set no seaB
Voices of folded sheep in the quiet of nightA
Came on the wind to meB
-
Like the low murmur of full tide on a beachC
Where tide shall never rollD
They sent their mournful inarticulate speechC
Heavily on my soulD
-
Past is my sorrow the night past and the mornE
Bright on her golden sillsF
Only the hill fold voices drowsily scornE
The comfort of the hillsF
